Exciting evening at Abingdon Thursday 5 a side

There were some fantastic matches down at Tilsley Park last night for round 8 of our Abingdon Thursday night 5 a side league. We also welcomed new Burton's Boys to the league.

The pick of the bunch was a 9-9 draw between Div 1 leaders Wootton FC and Narcos who sit second. Wootton continue their unbeaten run but it does end their 100% record which stretches right back to the start of last season. Top effort from both sides. The other result in Div 1 was a 4-2 victory for Xavi Dodgers against Out On Bale while new team Burton's Boys picked up a points match win with Jewventus away this week.

In the Premier League Eagles caused an upset as they put in a superb performance to defeat multiple champions Nathan Collins FC 9-4. Carlos Puhol and The Laddington Bears played each other in a points match. We are pushing hard to find sides to come into the Premier League where we have spaces so if you are up for a challenge get your team signed up and playing.

In Div 2 FC Hog made it 8 wins in a row as they sit pretty at the top of the table however despite the 100% record they are only two points clear of second, last night's victory came against Avengers Assemble 10-3. The team in hot pursuit are SWXI who came through a tough match with The Pie Eaters to win 8-5. In other results The Sweaty Stockman beat Zircotekkas 16-3 while in a much lower scoring game Megs Fit and Eat Sleep Lose Repeat drew 1-1.
