New Abingdon Thursday 5 a side season kicks off!

The Abingdon Thursday 5-a-side Football League kicked off its new season last night with some exciting and high-scoring matches in Division 1. 

DIVISION ONE

In the first match of the season, Ange Summers showed their intent early with a 3-1 victory over The Pie Eaters. Despite a gallant effort by The Pie Eaters, Ange Summers proved too strong, displaying exceptional teamwork and coordination to come out on top.

Meanwhile, Teenage Mutant Ninja Skrtels produced the highest scoring game of the night, winning 11-3 against new boys Bacuna Matarta. Their offensive prowess was on full display as they dominated the field, with their strikers finding the back of the net time and again.

In another high-scoring affair, RealSoSoBad faced a tough challenge against Bola Boys. Bola Boys dominated the match, showcasing their superior skills and tactics to win 9-1, leaving RealSoSoBad to regroup and strategize for the coming matches.

Nathan Collins FC also delivered an impressive performance in their 9-3 victory over Narcos FC. Their attacking force was relentless, providing a spectacle for us all and setting the bar high for the rest of the season.

With such thrilling encounters in the opening week, we can expect an exciting season ahead in the Abingdon Thursday 5-a-side Football league. This season promises to be one of the most competitive yet, with teams demonstrating their determination to claim the top spot in Division 1.
