New season kicks off at Abingdon Thursday 5 a side

The new Abingdon Thursday 5 a side season kicked off last night at Tilsley Park. We now have 2 divisions running on a Thursday and this season we have introduced the MVP and Golden Boot awards so lot's to play for.

The early leaders in the Premier League are Eat Sleep Lose Repeat who cruised to a 16-2 win over new team SH Carpentry, Tom Taylor top scoring with 7 goals. The champions Nathan Collins FC got off to a winning start as they defeated FC Hog 12-4, Nathan Collins himself with 5 strikes. Jamie Lake's U16s also had a big win as they defeated Queens Teens Rovers 12-0, David Clarkson and Louis John notching 4 goals each. 

Narcos FC went straight to top spot in Div 1 with an impressive 19-5 victory against Xavi Dodgers. Realsosobad also got off to a winning start with a 5-2 win away at The Pie Eaters with Josh Sheppard netting 4 times. Alex Woodham bagged a brace for Zircotekkas as they drew 3-3 with Megs Fit to share the points.
