It was a night of big wins throughout the divisions at our Abingdon Wednesday 5 a side league.
The top two in the Premier League continued their perfect starts to the season as Ye Mon beat Hardly Athletic 14-2 while G Block Europe won 5-0 against Fatzio. The leaders will take each other on next week in a top of the table crunch match. There was an impressive win in Div 1 as Ale Stars went top as they defeated Bad Kompany 11-3 to end their 100% record and take themselves to the summit. This gave FC Hog a chance to close the gap to 2 points and they took it with an entertaining 9-6 win over Crouchy United. Bayern Neverlosen are also level on points with Hog as they move up to 4th with a 6-3 win over the Gardeners. Finally The Mighty Ducks bounced back from a agonising loss last week to record a 6-2 win over Obi Wan Kenobi Nill last night.
Div 2 couldn't get closer, after week 5 their are now 3 teams all on 8 points. We have new leaders on goal difference however as Shaktar boosted theirs with a big win over BTEC Moscow 18-0. Spread the Play put themselves right in the promotion mix up as they ended Kipsta's winning start to the season with a 7-3 win over them to draw level on points.
