Abingdon Wednesday 5 a side news - match day 2

In one of the most fiercely contested weeks of the Abingdon Wednesday Football League, teams from the Premier League, Division 1, and Division 2 clashed on the field, demonstrating skill, teamwork, and the determination to win.

PREMIER LEAGUE

In the Premier League, the Ballotellitubies displayed their supremacy, securing a 10-4 victory against Big Justice FC. Basically Barca also emerged victorious with a narrow 2-1 win against reigning champions Spraggys Chopper FC. The Mighty Ducks and Tedrooney GFC offered a thrilling spectacle, ending in a 4-4 draw, showcasing the strength and competitiveness of each team.

DIVISION ONE

In Division 1, the competition was no less intense. FCUOB dominated the field, defeating Maragonna 8-4, while Hangover 96 claimed victory against Park The Airbus with a 6-3 scoreline. Shy Teds FC, unfortunately, couldn't secure a win, losing 6-3 to Shaggers United.

DIVISION TWO

Things heated up in Division 2 as well, with Ale Stars overpowering Pickle FC with a 6-1 win. JET FC also showcased strong gameplay, defeating Slough Posse FC 6-2. But the most impressive performance came from The B480, who defeated Spoonies FC with an 8-0 win, highlighting their dominance.

These exhilarating matches have undoubtedly set the tone for the rest of the season. Each team, whether on the victorious or losing end this week, will surely be looking to build upon these results in the weeks to come.
