Abingdon Wednesday 5 a side news - match day 3

Week 3 of the Abingdon Wednesday 5-a-side football league was a whirlwind of action, with teams across the Premier League, Division 1, and Division 2 divisions battling it out on the pitch last night.

PREMIER LEAGUE  

In the Premier League, Basically Barca pulled out a nail-biting win over Ballotellitubies with a score of 7-6. The Mighty Ducks couldn't quite quack their way to victory, falling 5-3 to Spraggys Chopper FC who remain top. FCUOB displayed a strong performance against Hangover 96, walking away with a 6-3 win. 

DIVISION ONE

Over in Division 1, it was an intense game as Slough Posse FC faced Serious Heat. Despite a strong effort, Slough Posse FC couldn't keep up with Serious Heat, losing 4-2. We had a couple of teams away in Div 1 this week which gave teams on the waiting list a chance to come in for friendlies.

DIVISION TWO

Division 2 saw some high-scoring matches. Pickle FC and JET FC had an absolute goal fest with JET FC emerging victorious with a whopping 17-7 scoreline. Spoonies FC and Shy Teds FC had a close game with Shy Teds FC squeezing out a 5-4 win. Park The Bus and Ale Stars battled to a 3-3 draw to complete our round up.

Week 3 was an exciting one across all divisions. Every team showed great competitive spirit and the league is now perfectly poised for the upcoming matches. Stay tuned for more thrilling football at the Abingdon Wednesday 5-a-side Football League.
