Abingdon Wednesday 5 a side news - match day 4

The fourth week of the Abingdon Wednesday 5-a-side Football League did not disappoint, as teams battled it out in thrilling encounters across the Premier League, Division 1, and Division 2.

PREMIER LEAGUE

Over in the Premier League, we were treated to a goal-feast as Ballotellitubies took on The Mighty Ducks. The Mighty Ducks emerged triumphant, netting 11 goals to Ballotellitubies' 9. The tension was palpable in the match between Hangover 96 and Basically Barca, with Barca edging out as victors by a single goal, 6-5. Meanwhile, leaders Spraggys Chopper FC pipped FCUOB to the win with a tight 2-1 victory.

DIVISION ONE

In Division 1, Maragonna dominated against Slough Posse FC, walking away with a resounding 7-1 win. However, the standout performance of the night came from Big Justice FC, who displayed their firepower against Serious Heat, securing a 9-4 victory. Tedrooney Gfc rounded up the division fixtures with a solid 3-0 performance against new team The B480.

DIVISION TWO  

Meanwhile, in Division 2, Spoonies FC edged past JET FC in a closely contested game, finishing 5-3. Shy Teds FC and Park The Airbus provided us with a nerve-wracking match, with Shy Teds FC edging it 4-3. The Ale Stars, however, stole the show in Division 2 with an astounding 16-0 win over Pickle FC.
