Abingdon Wednesday 5 a side news - match day 5

In a thrilling week of football action, Abingdon Wednesday's Premier League, Division 1, and Division 2 saw some of the season's most exciting matches.

PREMIER LEAGUE

In the Premier League, The Mighty Ducks edged out Basically Barca in a 5-4 nail-biter. GigaMadrid, meanwhile, dominated the field against Slough Posse FC, delivering an impressive 12-2 performance. The Premier League's final match for the evening saw Hangover 96 outscore TerryBell FC 8-6, in a contest that kept us on the edge of our seats.

DIVISION ONE

Division 1 saw its share of action as well. FCUOB secured a tactical 5-2 win over Ale Stars, while Spoonies FC managed to hold off Spraggys Chopper FC with a well-earned 5-3 victory.

DIVISION TWO  

Meanwhile, Division 2 saw a flurry of goals. Serious Heat FC showed off their offensive prowess by defeating Pickle FC 17-0, marking the highest scoring match of the evening across all divisions. In a much tighter contest, JET FC managed to edge out Park The Airbus in a 1-0 victory securing valuable points. Lastly, top of the table Tedrooney Gfc claimed a 6-3 win over Shy Teds FC.

As we head into the sixth week of the Abingdon Wednesday Football League, the competition continues to heat up. We are eagerly looking forward to more action-packed matches and impressive displays of talent.
