Abingdon Wednesday 5 a side news - match day 7

In the latest round of Abingdon Wednesday's 5-a-side Football league, the Premier League, Division 1 and Division 2 showcased exhilarating performances from teams across the board. The competition is heating up as we move into the seventh week of the season.

PREMIER LEAGUE

In the Premier League, Basically Barca were the standout performers with an impressive 11-0 victory over Slough Posse FC. Their dominating performance puts them on top for the week. The Mighty Ducks also held their ground, claiming a solid 6-2 win over Hangover 96. Meanwhile, GigaMadrid outplayed TerryBell FC in an 8-3 thriller.

DIVISION ONE  

The action was equally intense in Division 1. FCUOB and Spraggys Chopper FC locked horns in a see-saw battle that ended with Spraggys edging out FCUOB 5-4. Ale Stars and Big Justice FC ended their encounter on an even keel at 3-3. Meanwhile, Maragonna came out on top in an 8-5 victory over Spoonies FC.

DIVISION TWO  

Division 2 saw Park The Airbus snatch a narrow 7-6 win over Pickle FC in an exciting encounter. Serious Heat and Tedrooney GFC also engaged in a tightly contested match, which Serious Heat narrowly clinched 5-4. JET FC couldn't fend off Shy Teds FC, losing the match 4-2.

The competition is fierce and the performances are getting better with every passing week, setting up an exciting remainder of the season. Stay tuned for next week's round-up.
