Abingdon Wednesday 5 a side news - match day 9

Week 9 of the Abingdon Wednesday 5-a-side Football League was an adrenaline-fueled spectacle that left us on the edge of our seats. From the Premier League division to Division 2, the contests were an incredible display of sportsmanship and skill.

PREMIER LEAGUE

In the Premier League, Basically Barca overcame Spraggys Chopper FC in a tightly contested match, securing a 2-1 victory. In another thrilling encounter, The Mighty Ducks managed to outscore FCUOB, claiming a 6-3 win. However, the highlight of the night was the nail-biting tie between Hangover 96 and Ballotellitubies, which saw both teams locked at 12-12, what a game!

DIVISION ONE

The matches in Division 1 were no less captivating. Big Justice FC triumphed over Slough Posse FC with a 5-2 scoreline. Shaggers United fended off a spirited challenge from Tedrooney Gfc, edging them out 8-6. In the high-scoring game between The B480 and Maragonna, The B480 emerged victorious with a 9-7 win.

DIVISION TWO

Lower down in Division 2, JET FC secured a 4-2 victory over Ale Stars, while Spoonies FC dominated Park The Airbus, walking away with a 5-1 triumph. Shy Teds FC were the standout performers of the division, defeating Pickle FC 11-2.

As we move into week 10, the excitement is palpable and we are eagerly looking forward to another week of intense competition and unmatched football. The Abingdon Wednesday League continues to be a thrilling testament to the passion and skill of local football.
