Congratulations to Saky Thirds Premier Leagues Champions

A fantastic night of 5 a side football last night despite concerns over the weather. If you forget the 5 months off it's been a great season at our expanded 24 team Wednesday night league.

Firstly a huge congratulations to Saky Thirds on winning the Premier League trophy. They rounded off their season with a 3-1 victory over Slough Posse FC who put in a great display to push the champions all the way. The runners up spot goes to last seasons champions Ye Mon, they couldn't quite retain their title this season but another good effort and I'm sure they will be looking to push to regain it. Vacating the Premier League are Ale Stars and Crouchy United to take up a fresh challenge in Div 1.

Taking their place in the Premier League are Div 1 Champions Fatzio who will be a force to be reckoned with in the top flight. They finished the season with a 15-0 victory against Obi Wan, Kenobi, Nill. Joining them in the Premier League next season are Hardly Athletic who defeated BTEC Moscow 4-1 which see's BTEC dropping into Div 2 alongside new team Cheat Codes. 

FC Hog lift the Div 2 title and will be looking to climb the divisions. Their last match of the season was an entertaining 8-4 win over FC Spangled. Sin Bin FC do finish as runners up in Div 2 but have now had to vacate the league so we have one spot available in Div 1 next season. Shaktar Last Night had huge win on the night but just missed out on promotion by a point. They will be looking to finish in the top two when the new season gets underway next week.
