Lots of Goals at Abingdon Wednesday 5 a side

Another cold night down at Tilsley Park as we went into round 5 of fixtures at our Abingdon Wednesday 5 a side league. All 23 teams were in attendance. Remember we still have one space available in this league to start now if any new teams are looking to get playing.

At the top of the Premier League reigning Ye Mon FC will be looking to win back to back titles this season as they made it 5 wins from 5 last night with a 12-2 victory over Ale Stars. 2 points behind them are Saky Thirds who picked up a 5-0 points match win. 3rd place Abingdons won 4-2 against Trade FC while Slough Posse beat Binos FC 5-2 to leave 3 teams level on points behind Ye Mon.

The race for promotion to the Premier League is closer than ever in Div 1 as the top 4 all have 8 points after 5 games. Top on goal difference are Rafacakes who defeated BTEC Moscow 11-2.  Fatzio who sit second won 7-1 against You've Been Tangoed while Murder On Zidanes Floor edged out The Mighty Ducks 6-5. Finally Hardly Athletic secure the win against The Pie Eaters 4-3.

Now into Div 2 where many of the new sides find themselves. FC Hog who will be looking to move up the leagues over the next couple of seasons look on course for the Div 2 title as they kept up their 100% record with a 11-3 win against The Oscillators. DWFC move up into the second promotion position with a entertaining 12-7 win over Shaktar Last Night. In the other fixtures Sin Bin FC beat Cumnor Veterans 9-4 while Chamakh My Pitch Up saw off Crixus 15-3.
