NEW SEASON OF 5 A SIDE AT ABINGDON

So good to be starting a fresh season with 18 committed teams for our 5 a side league in Abingdon.

Week One saw some great games and it looks like this could be a really good season moving forward. 

In the Prem there was a 5 - 1 win for Exeter Gently over Spread the Play, Socios won an absolute classic 9 - 8 over Chamakh and both team completely gave up on defending in the game between Mighty Ducks and Silly Buggers. 17 - 12 the score here in favour of Silly Buggers, what a match !

Div One saw Murder on Zidanes net 11 against Goals Allowed who only managed 2 in reply and Nice Guys smashed 22 past Crouchy who only got one back in a heavy defeat for them. Pathetico won 5 - 2 against Ale Stars to join the early leaders on 2 points. 

Div Two saw Slough Posse gain a 7 - 0 win over Unremarkables while Hot Cross Buns won 12 - 7 against Wenby Athletic. New side Maragonna started with a 5 - 0 points win and will start their league matches next Wednesday. 

So there we go, plenty of goals with the new longer games and hopefully everyone settles into the new routine well over the coming weeks.

Thanks to Dean and the crew on the ground for keeping things smooth, lets roll onto week 2 and make sure all teams are ready for action.
