Results - Abingdon 5 a side Wednesday

Here's a round up from week 3 at our Abingdon 5 a side Wednesday night league. Lot's of goals and lots of great matches to report.

At the top of the Premier League there are two sides who are making the early running. Former champions Ye Mon are sitting top on goal difference after a 5-2 win over Slough Posse while G Block Europe stay with them on 6 points after a 6-2 victory against Hardly Athletic. Abingdons followed up last week's win with another as they saw off Trade FC 8-2 to keep them 3rd.

In Div 1 Bad Kompany are the only team left with a 100% record after match day 3 as they took maximum points from their fixture with The Mighty Ducks with a 7-2 win. Ale Stars remain in second place after a close match with Gardeners FC ended with both teams taking a share of the spoils in a 3-3 draw. Bayern Neverlosen FC got a boost with the first win of the season beating Crouchy FC 9-1 while Div 2 champions FC Hog were to strong for Obi Wan, Kenobi, Nill winning 11-0.

Finally we move into Div 2 and the top two were really made to work to keep their good starts to the season going. Spread the Play are top on goal difference after a narrow 6-4 win over BTEC Moscow while Kipsta FC defeated Chamakh 7-4. Cheat Codes got their first win of the season with a 10-2 victory against FC Spangled while Shakter beat an ever improving Unremarkables side 11-1, what an improvement from the last time they faced Shakter. Top effort lads!
