TWO NEW SIDES FILL WEDNESDAY NIGHT ABINGDON 5 A SIDE LEAGUE

We were delighted to welcome 2 new teams into the league just in time for kick off this week as our league rolled through week 8 of the season in Abingdon. Appleton Red have taken the place in the premier league and arrivied in time for an incredible night of action at Tilsley Park. Their game ended in a 9 - 7 win for opponents Basically Barca while Botley Wanderers closed the gap at the top by edging past leaders Socios 9 - 8. To top it off there was a 4 - 4 draw in the game between GA Ball Boys and Murder on Zidanes Floor with both teams in with a great chance of staying in the top flight next season.

Appleton's other young side have gone into Division One and found it a tough 1st night as they went down 7 - 1 against Wenger Boys. The Mighty Ducks won 7 - 2 against Goring GOB's while leaders RMT had to work hard to take the points in their match up against Maragonna, eventually winning 4 - 3. 

Ale Stars had a points win this week to stay out in front in Division Two while it was a great night for Serios Heat who won 15 - 4 against Wynters Wish. Bagotelli stay within a point to the leaders after their 9 - 4 win against Slough Posse. 

Thanks to Dean and the crew on the ground this week, an excellent week of games in this division and so nice to have the league full again. Lets push on with a strong end to the season.
