The Towcester Monday 6-a-side league teams braved unprecedented heat and harsh conditions to put on a show this week. 

The action kicked off with a nine-goal thriller between Boca Seniors and Hardly Athletic, with the former eventually coming out on top 6-3. 

Reigning Champaigne Super Rovers then flew to a 6-1 win over Atletico Old Boys for a much-needed result, while the final game saw league leaders Pooventus destroy GOC Returns 11-1 in another statement performance. 

With just three games remaining, Pooventus seem very well-poised to win the title, but Hardly Athletic may have a shot at toppling them in a couple weeks' time. They will still need a favour Atletico Old Boys next week though, which is a tough ask given their form compared to the league leaders.
