The Towcester Monday 6-a-side league is back for more action following an enthralling season last time around.
On opening matchday, there were a few games called off, but the two that went ahead for a sight to behold.
Reigning champs Pooventus were supposed to face off against newcomers Aziz Ball, but the game was chalked up as a 0-0 result, while Boca Seniors and Atletico Old Boys received 5-0 walkovers.
Former champions Champaigne Super Rovers started this season out in style, not wanting to get out the blocks slow like the last campaign, and destroyed GOC Returns 10-1 to take top spot after round one.
Following them were new boys Vectors Army, who brushed aside A Few Broken Men to win 7-1 and sit in second.
