Easter Sunday saw a new team take over the summit of the Northampton 7-a-side football league, despite not much action in the round over the holiday weekend. 

The Old Firm were handed a 5-0 win as their opponents FC Club De Swaz were unavailable, but the result saw the Firm leapfrog Hangover FC to open up a one-point lead at the top of the table. 

Hangover FC dropped their first points of the season, as they were held to a draw by a gritty performance from Team Alpha in what was the only official match played this week. As a result, The Old Firm are now the only team to have a 100% winning record after five games played in the season. 

The match between Retirement Home FC and NN Boyz was ruled as a 0-0 result since both teams were unavailable, which also disrupted the latter's winning run. 

Remember though, even if your opponents do not show on the day, you still pay and play as usual in a casual, fun friendly against a different opponent!
