Northampton Sunday 7-a-side league: Goal fests!

There was no shortage of goals this week in the Northampton Sunday 7-a-side league with lots of high-scoring games. 

Whilton FC and NN Boyz went head-to-head to kick off the action, with Whilton pulling off a surprise 3-2 win in a tight encounter. The loss meant NN Boyz fell out of the top two, and The Old Firm took their place with a stellar 7-1 win over Retirement Home FC. 

Team Alpha stayed put at the top of the table, also putting seven past Chiltern, but they were the only team to keep a clean sheet this week to continue their brilliant form. 

PhatSeshUnited and Never Back Down put on a show, with the former claiming a 6-3 win in another free-flowing game. It was then trumped by Hangover FC and Real Northants, where Hangover FC came out on top 7-4 in another end-to-end affair. 

The action at the University of Northampton pitches never seems to disappoint.
