Leisure Leagues would like to apologise unreservedly for the inconvenience caused with the league cancellation on Sunday 3rd December.
Unbeknown to us, the University had employed parking attendants to monitor the car park and they intended to ticket any cars who did not pay for parking on the evening. This obviously meant a large number of people either refused to pay or didn't have a means of payment, which would've led to the league running with disruption, or a large number of fines being handed out unfairly, which we were not prepared to let happen to our customers.
It has never been a requirement for teams to have to pay for parking when using the 3G pitch and this supposed new policy was enforced without our knowledge, where people were expected to pay for parking, or be fined.
We have taken this up with the University of Worcester and will provide all teams with an update on this as soon as we have one.
In the meantime, any payments which were made for fixtures will roll over to Sunday 10th December, and the cancelled matches will now be replayed as the final game of this season.
If you have any queries in the meantime, please don't hesitate to contact Shaun at Head Office on 0333 123 2340.
