Sunday 16th April - Worcester University Round-Up

The Worcester Sunday 6 a side league held at University of Worcester on the state of the art 3G surface witnessed some exciting footballing action, with all teams showing up and putting in some fantastic performances.

In the Premier Division, the match between BROM FC and UNATHLETICO MADRID turned out to be an intense affair, with UNATHLETICO MADRID emerging victorious with a scoreline of 3-1. Despite BROM FC trying to stage a comeback in the second half, they could not break down the resolute defense of UNATHLETICO MADRID. The match between CHAMPS FC and PLJ FC was a high-scoring thriller, with both teams going all-out attack. Eventually, it was PLJ FC who edged past CHAMPS FC, winning the match 7-6.

MATIP OR DALOT put up a dominant display against BREWERS FC, scoring goals at will and winning the match 9-2. The match between HALLER YOU KANTE and MILWALL turned out to be a closely contested battle, with both teams putting in a lot of effort. MILWALL eventually emerged as winners with a narrow scoreline of 3-2.

In Division One, INJURED FC proved to be too strong for LEEK IN DEFENCE, winning the match 6-2. GANGSTAS ALLARDYCE put in a fantastic performance against FC WALLACHIA, winning the match 6-4. PARA-RANGERS displayed a solid defensive performance against HALLER YOU KANTE 2, winning the match 3-1. Finally, BLASTERS had an easy outing against BTD FC, winning the match 5-0.

All teams deserve credit for the excellent matches they put up. It was heartening to see the players display their skills and compete with each other in the right spirit.
