It was another fantastic evening's football in the Worcester University Sunday 6 a side league this week, with all teams in attendance for their matches as scheduled and some well competed games played throughout the night. The only disappointment to this were non-attendances from Brewers and Cupid Stunts in the Premier Division and Division One respectively. Both have been spoken to and are due to return to action on Sunday 2nd April.
Premier Division leaders Champs stay top of the table after a 5-0 win this week due to their opponents no show. They are however tailed by Matip or Dalot in second place, although they fell a point off the pace this week as they had to settle for a 2-2 draw in their match against Unathletico Madrid. PLJ FC and Millwall also shared a point apiece in as they drew 4-4 in an end to end thriller. Haller You Kante completed the division's action as they cruised to a 4-1 win over Brom FC to claim their second win of the campaign.
It tightened up at the top of Division One this week, even though the season is in its infancy, there are three teams locked on six points so far. Leaders Para-Rangers tasted defeat for the first time this season as FC Wallachia were 5-3 winners of an entertaining fixture. That result allowed Haller You Kante 2 to move level on points with them as they won a seven goal thriller against BTD by 4 goals to 3. New boys Blasters played their first fixture with us this week and gave a good account of themselves considering it was a debut game, they eventually lost out 4-1 to Leek in Defence but will have reason for encouragement moving forwards.
We thank all teams for their continued reliability and commitment to the league and wish all good luck going into the next round of fixtures with Worcester's premier providers of small sided football.
