Another great night of 6 a side football took place at our Maidstone Wednesday 6 a side league at Valley Park School with all teams in attendance apart from Kazakhstan, Kazakhstan will be back next week, thank you to a guest team for stepping in for this week.
We begin with a look at the bottom end of the Premier League where the battle to stay in the division stretches from 7th right up to 3rd place with only 3 points separating the teams. Mind Of Mata gave themselves a fighting chance of survival as they picked up a 5-0 win over Shush FC to go level on points with them. The Upbeats went two points clear of the the drop zone as they defeated an understrength FC Marden 6-1 with goals from Ollie Hewitt 3, Jamie Butler, Tom Dunk and Dom Bourne. Geri Hat-tricks moved 3 points clear of danger after a spirited performance from bottom side Exeter Gently who pushed them all the way before Geri sealed the win 5-3. Captain Harry Knight scored a brace to add to goals from Oscar Watson, Ian Globe and Adam Blundell for Geri while Josh Stone 2 and Alfie Wilkins scored for Exeter. Last but not least in the Premier League the champions Astro Worldies kept up their perfect record this season with a 8-1 victory against second place Real Ale Madrid spreading the goals throughout the team as follows, Harrison Mayhew 2, Tyler Sinclair 2, Owen Sinclair 2, Adam Gosling and Tom Watts.
Not much changed in Div 1 after last nights results with 2 Goals 1 Cup holding onto their two points advantage over Seshball and 2 Girls 1 Schlupp with a 8-1 win over Boobs N Doobs. Seshball won 2-0 against Norfolk with two goals from Athan Hinkley while 2 Girls 1 Schlupp beat Cream Rises 8-1. Inter Yernan picked up a points match win with Kazakhstan not there this week.
