Happy New Year at Maidstone Wednesday 6 a side

Happy New Year to everyone down at our Maidstone Wednesday 6 a side league at Valley Park School. I hope you all enjoyed the Christmas break, it was nice to have a bit of time off but great to be back playing again.

At the top of the Premier League the leaders The Upbeats were held to a 2-2 draw by Mind Of Mata which gave the chasing back a chance to close the gap. Roma Sexuals remain second but are now just a point behind as they defeated Seshball 6-1 with Brad finding the back of the net 4 times. Crouch Potato move up to third and are also a point adrift after they won 4-0 against Geri Hat-tricks, Josh Scott scoring a hat-trick and a certain Ash Smith kept a clean sheet in the Crouchy goal. Tom Jarvis banged in a hat-trick for Goal Hangers R Us to help them pick up their first point of the season in a 3-3 draw with She Was Only XI. 

Gently Exeter are making light work of Div 1 as they made it 4 wins on the bounce to start the season, defeating Sneaky Castro 6-1 this week. 2 Girls 1 Schlupp are a couple of points behind after a 3-0 victory against Boobs N Doobs while Inter Yernan FC are also level on 6 points as they edged a tight game 1-0 against Norfolk with Josh Paris getting the crucial goal. Finally another close game saw Cream Rises win for the first time this season as they beat Useless FC 2-1, Dan Barrie and Callum Fillery on target for the visitors.
