Maidstone 6 a side Wednesday nights gets underway!

MAIDSTONE 6 A SIDE WEDNESDAY SEASON UNDERWAY!

The new season kicked off at Valley Park School with all teams in attendance apart from Wanyama's who will be back next week. We welcomed a few new teams and a couple of new refs to this venue who covered this week. Here's a look at the results from the opening night:

PREMIER LEAGUE

24KCider got their title defence off to a great start with a 4-0 victory over Div 1 champions The Keita Success with Fin Appleby scoring a hat-trick. The other three games were extremely close with narrow victories in all three. Ben Mee Over won a nine goal thriller 5-4 against Seshball, Crouch Potato edged it 3-2 against Lobs United while Beercelona won 3-2 against Sneaky Castro.

DIVISION ONE

Get The Badge In started with a bang, winning 6-1 against new team Brexit Ballers, Alex Dennehy and Daniel Barrie both scoring braces to send them top. Barely Athletic picked up a 5-0 win due to Wanyama's being away to go second. Josh Sweet scored a hat-trick and picked up the MVP award for Bottle Jobs as they defeated Ronaldfc 6-2. Finally Shepway Bears won a tight game against Boobs N Doobs 3-2.
