Maidstone Wednesday 6 a side end of season
In a thrilling conclusion to the Maidstone Wednesday 6-a-side Football League, the final week of the season saw some exhilarating performances and the crowning of new champions in the divisions: Premier League, Division 1, and Division 2.
PREMIER LEAGUE
In the Premier League, Monarcos stormed their way to a decisive 3-0 victory over McNeil Deal FC, sealing their position at the top of the league with a total of 16 points from 8 wins. Albion Degenerates finished the season as runners up while Borussia Teeth lost 7-1 to LadsOnToure as they head to Div 1 along with McNeil Deal.
DIVISION ONE
Division 1 witnessed Super Nani triumphing with an exciting 5-4 win against Romasexuals, thus claiming the league title with an impressive total of 18 points and 9 wins. Reece Capeling of Lobs United stood out as the top scorer for the division this week, netting 3 goals in the final week as Lobs beat Hangover 96 5-0 with seal the other promotion spot. Invicta Motors won the battle of the bottom two as they defeated Bottle Jobs 3-2, however both teams will start next season in Div 2.
DIVISION TWO
The Division 2 league title was clinched by the formidable Ukrainian Wolves with an overall tally of 14 points from 7 wins, after a hard-fought 2-1 victory over Athletic Dildao. Sleepy Morgan are runners up after an entertaining 5-5 draw with Tekkerslovakia.
The season-ender highlighted the competitive spirit and sportsmanship of all the teams. The winners and top scorers have set new benchmarks for the upcoming season, promising another exciting showdown in the Maidstone Wednesday 6-a-side Football League. We will be eagerly awaiting the return teams and their players next week, hoping for even more thrilling football as we begin the autumn season.
