Maidstone Wednesday 6 a side news - match day 16

The heart-pounding football is reaching its climax in the Maidstone Wednesday 6-a-side Football League as teams battle it out in the penultimate games of the season. With only two weeks left, it's all about securing places in the table with the Prem title race still very much a three horse race.

PREMIER LEAGUE

In the Premier League, Albions Degenerates triumphed with a hard fought victory, defeating Tea And Busquets 4-2 to go top of the table on goal difference. Borussia Teeth delivered an impressive performance, dominating Lobs United 6-1. The match between Brenchley Faithful and LadsOnToure was a nail-biter, with Brenchley edging out their opponents 3-2 to leap frog them in the table as Lads lose top spot.

The star of the Premier League this week was Brenchley Faithful's Jack Whitmore, who netted a total of three goals. His magnificent performance places him atop the division's top scorer's list, setting a high bar for the remaining games.

DIVISION ONE

Moving on to Division 1, Monarcos had an outstanding match, shutting out Bottle Job FC with an impressive 7-0 win. Romasexuals also claimed victory over World VI with a clean sheet, ending the match at 3-0. In a close contest, Get The Badge In edged past Tekkerslovakia 3-1, while Invicta Motors FC scored a 3-2 victory over Sleepy Morgan to all but seal the Div 1 title. In another tightly contested match, Athletic Dildao triumphed over Mo Leicesters, 2-1.

The Division 1 star player this week was Callum Fillery of Get The Badge In. His notable contribution of three goals helped secure his team's victory and earned him the top scorer title for Division 1 this week.
