MAIDSTONE WEDNESDAY 6 A SIDE ROUND UP
Match day 5 at Valley Park saw all teams in attendance for another excellent night of 6 a side football sandwiched in between two bank holiday weekends. There were some great games in both divisions and the leaders in each were given tough tests but came through them. Here's all the results:
PREMIER LEAGUE
24KCider remain on course to retain their title as they squeezed past former champions Seshball 3-2 to stay two points clear at the top of the Premier League. Second place Ben Mee Over returned to winning ways this week in another tight game, beating Beercelona 3-2, Dylan Griffiths with a hat-trick for the title challengers. The Keita Success stay third after a 5-1 away win at Crouch Potato while Sneaky Castro picked up back to back wins as they defeated Lobs United 4-2.
DIVISION ONE
Div 1 leaders Barely Athletic probably thought they were in for a comfortable evening as they faced bottom side Ronaldfc, however it was anything but that as Ronald gave an excellent account of themselves, although it wasn't quite enough with Barely taking the win 3-2. Boobs N Doobs jumped into the promotion places with a 5-1 away win at Bottle Job while Dylan Holness struck four times as Phil Mc Corey won 7-0 against Get The Badge In. Finally Wanyama's In Pyjamas ran out 11-1 winning against Brexit Ballers with Joe Wilson finding the back of the net five times.
GOLDEN BOOT RACE
Let's have a quick look who's topping the goal scoring charts after five games. In the Premier League Brandon Bennett of Beercelona and Brodie Davidson of 24KCider are tied on five goals each. In Div 1 Hughie Lawford is out on his own with seven goals for Boobs N Doobs. Remember you need to get yourself registered to have goals recorded and also to win the MVP award.
Big thank you to Derek and all of our referee's along with our players. Good luck on match day 6 next week. Thanks Rich
