Another fantastic night of 6 a side down at Valley Park School for our Maidstone Wednesday night league. All teams were in attendance apart from Portugeezers who will be returning next week.
Astro Worldies took advantage of Portugeezers absence to pull further clear at the top of the Premier League. Tyler Sinclair and Owen Sinclair took over goalscoring responsibilities this week with Tyler banging a hat-trick and Owen scoring a brace to add to goals from Tom Reed and Joe Roberts as Worldies won 7-0 against Geri Hat-tricks. The win see's them open up a 5 point gap at the top. The nearest challengers now are Real Ale Madrid who picked up a points match win with Portugeezers being away. Dom Bourne scored twice as The Upbeats defeated Exeter Gently 2-0 while FC Marden won an entertaining encounter with Mind Of Mata 6-3.
The top 3 in Div 1 were all victorious as the gap between top and third remains at just 2 points. Top of the table Seshball hit double figures as they saw off the challenge from Cream Rises winning 10-1. Goalscorers for Seshball were Nic Bell 4, Richard Munn 3, Harvey Welford, Tom Evans and Athan Hinkley. Second place 2 Goals 1 Cup had a slightly tougher match however still ran out comfortable 4-1 winners in the end against Inter Yernan FC. 2 Girls 1 Schlupp also enjoyed a straightforward victory as they outshone Boobs N Doobs winning 15-1. Finally in a far closer match there was a share of the points for Kazakhstan and Norfolk In Way You're Winning with it ending 3-3.
Thank you you to all our teams and our match night supervisor Derek along with refs Ash, Steven and Josh. See you all next week for match day 9.
