MATCH NIGHT REPORT - ROUND 9

Another great night of football under the lights at Waterside tonight. 

We started the evening with our leaders, Loonatics taking on Madeline Milan. Milan took an early lead and had numerous chances, including 4 shots that rattled the woodwork. But unfortunately for Milan, Loonatics were in fine finishing form and bagged a very impressive 7 goals. 7-2 the final result and another step towards the title for Loonatics. 

Then at 7:40 we had Benfleet Butchers v LeaveMyArselona. Butchers scored 3 very early goals and looked to be in control of the game but 2 goals just before HT made an interesting 2nd half. But a star performance from Jay Taylor saw Butchers take a very impressive x-x result. They’re hot on the heels of Loonatics for that title. 

At 8:20 we had Tottenham Hotsperm v DBA. Both sides needed the points and played a very open attacking game. But Hotsperm were to ruthless in their finishing and a wonderful rainbow flicked goal to see the game off from Joe Daley secured an impressive 8-1 win. 

Our last game was No Cap United v Scratchers United. No Cap were very quickly 2-0 up in this game but Scratchers did incredibly well to level it up just after HT. A very tight affair in the 2nd half ended very dramatically with Scratchers scoring with just 2 mins left and then No Cap equalising with the last kick of the game. Great game of football to finish off a night full of goals. 

Another great night of football is complete with our Wednesday league now fully into the 2nd half of the season. See you all next week!
