It was a slightly disjointed evening in the Durham Sunday 6 a side league this week, with a number of teams missing due to the Newcastle v Liverpool League Cup Final game taking place. We have spoken to all teams who were missing and all have confirmed they will return as normal on Sunday 23rd March so we look forward to seeing the league settle back to normal.
In the Premier League, The Moors convincingly triumphed over The Bagheads, securing a vast 5-0 victory. The team showcased an exceptional display of team effort and continued their winning streak, leaving no room for The Bagheads to make their mark on the game.
The second Premier League match was a breathtaking encounter between Binny FC and Pambos Pool Party. The teams battled it out in a closely contested match, closing with an intense 4-4 draw. Both teams left spectators on the edge of their seats, proving why they hold their Premier League status.
Moving onto Division 1, it was The Red Rockets who stole the limelight with an impressive 9-1 victory over Busy Bombers. The team's attacking prowess was in full display, leaving fans and foes in awe of their performance.
Good luck to all teams heading into game week 6 of the season with Durham's premier providers of small sided football!
