Sunday 30th March - Durham Round-Up

It was a good evening's football in the Durham Sunday 6 a side league at Whitworth Park this weekend, with all teams in attendance barring two late cancellations, both of which return as normal next week.

THIS LEAGUE IS EXTENDING TO A THIRD DIVISION ON SUNDAY 6TH APRIL!  THERE IS CURRENTLY ONE VACANCY REMAINING SO JOIN TODAY TO AVOID DISAPPOINTMENT!


In the Premier League, Pambos Pool Party and Sheldon Cooper FC shared the spoils in a closely contested 1-1 draw. The match was high on intensity, as each team displayed impeccable defence, making it difficult for the other to score. Both teams are now looking forward to the next week's matches to improve their points tally.


In a thrilling encounter, The Moors edged out Binny FC 3-2 in a game that saw some fantastic football from both sides. LVFC was handed a setback as they lost 3-1 to K Men, who exhibited superior gameplay and strategy throughout.


Division 1 saw its fair share of action as well. The Red Rockets showcased their dominance with a resounding 5-2 victory over HOGS. Oldman Athritic, on the other hand, left no stone unturned as they thrashed Unathletico Madrid 8-1 in an absolutely one-sided game. Jills Men and Different Gravy ended their match in a 2-2 draw, a testament to their evenly matched skills.


The top scorers of the week from the Premier League were players from The Moors and K Men, who displayed remarkable agility and precision. In Division 1, the leading scorers hailed from The Red Rockets and Oldman Athritic, who were instrumental in their team's decisive victories.
