It was a good evening's football overall in the Durham Sunday 6 a side league this week, with all teams in attendance throughout the night as scheduled, the only exception being The Bagheads who disappointingly failed to show for a second week running, despite assuring us they would attend.
On a positive note, we were delighted to see the brand new third division kick off this week, as we welcomed 8 new teams to the league! All of these settled in well and we are delighted to see the league go from strength to strength.
In the Premier League division, LVFC held Binny FC to a 2-2 draw in a closely contested match, while Pambos Pool Party claimed victory over Morans Army with an impressive 5-1 scoreline. Sheldon Cooper FC also drew 2-2 in a thrilling match against The Moors.
In Division 1, Jills Men triumphed over HOGS with a 4-2 victory, and Different Gravy showed their dominance with a stunning 6-1 win against Busy Bombers. Reform UK outclassed Unathletico Madrid with a 4-1 score. Towards the end of the day, The Red Rockets fired past Oldman Athritic, securing a 4-2 win.
Division 2 witnessed some high-scoring games as well. Bens Belly thrashed WET ROACHES AFC with an astonishing 10-0 win. Mitchells Meaty Men managed to edge past Crashout FC with a 2-1 victory, and Millfield Mafias overpowered Two Goals One Cup with a 4-1 victory. Lastly, BOSH FC narrowly won against Inter Row-z Fc with a 4-3 scoreline.
We wish all teams good luck going into the next round of fixtures with Durham's premier providers of small sided football!
