The Hull Monday 6-a-side league returned with a bang for a brand-new season of high-octane football at the Wolfreton school pitches.
In the Premier League, we started off with a mouthwatering clash between reigning champs Stroke Titty and last season's runners-up Tripe FC. The latter began their quest for revenge in style, beating the champs 6-4 in a thrilling game. Newly-promoted Div 1 champs Barely Athletic also started in fine fashion, beating fellow promotees Real SoSoBad 4-1, as Crystal Meth Palace stormed through the gates with a 6-1 win over Saka Shit.
One division below, Brian Munich resumed their quest for promotion after narrowly missing out last time, winning 3-1 against the promoted Inter Ya Nan. Texas Oldman did not have a great start to life in a higher division though, as they lost the opener 1-0 to Virgins on Tour. Smart Dogs started their quest for returning to the top flight with a 2-1 win over Bumbaclarts.
Division 2 saw Renford Rejects start their campaign in style, claiming a narrow 5-4 win over 7 Men No Cups in a nine-goal thriller. No Salah'd beat Fenerbackache 4-2. while Puff Daddy started life in a lower division with a 2-2 draw against Athletico Pathetico.
