The start of a new season in the Hull Monday 6-a-side league brought us some more great games this week at the Wolfreton School pitches, albeit among a few walkovers.
In the Premier League, Tripe FC and FCSB are the only sides who played an official game, as Tripe started off with a bang, winning 6-0.
In Division 1, Crystal Meth Palace survived a tough test against The Phoenix Club to pick up a 3-2 win. The Academy followed them up with a solid victory of their own, beating Inter the Van 4-1.
A level below in Division 2, Man Titty overcame Yorkshire Vikings to claim a 3-1 win for a perfect start to the season.
As the rest of the games were walkovers, some of the sides enjoyed a friendly game and had a fun, casual kickabout. That’s always an option if your official match is called off - just turn up, pay and play as usual, but with no stakes!
