It was coronation day this week at the Wolfreton School pitches, as an enthralling season of the Hull Monday 6-a-side came to a close as we crowned our winners across all three divisions.
Following a dominant season with just one loss in 10 games, Stroke Titty claimed the Premier League title as Tripe came in second just two points behind. Poor seasons for Smart Dogs and Virgins on Tour mean they will drop into Division 1.
From the second tier, Real SoSoBad and Haven’t Got a Kalou secured promotion in first and second after the latter came in clutch with a 3-2 win over Swanland All Stars to take second spot at the last minute. No Bitches on Pitches and No Salah’d put up a stern front, but with a very narrow margin will see themselves fall into Division 2.
From the third division though, Inter Ya Nan and 7 Men No Cups ensured a new challenge for the next season as they finished as the top two and secured promotion. Texas Oldman, despite a very strong effort on the final day in a stylish 7-0 win over Welton fell just a point short of the mark.
