In an exhilarating close to the season, the teams in the Exeter Monday 5-a-side Football league battled it out on the pitch last night in what proved to be a thrilling end to the 14-week season.
PREMIER LEAGUE
The Premier League saw some high-scoring action, with Tinpot Town Fc triumphing over Dartmoor Tree Surgeons FC by 10 - 6. Demonstrating their offensive prowess, SPT FC demolished Unathletico Madrid with a whopping 26-2. The tightest contest of the evening was between Piers In Paris and Petr Cech Your Pants, where Piers In Paris narrowly scraped a victory with an 8-7 win.
DIVISION ONE
Division 1 was not without its share of electrifying competition. The Jackson Five and Monkeys engaged in a neck-to-neck battle that ultimately saw Monkeys clinch the win with a final score of 6-7.
In the individual stakes, Nathan Sutton of Tinpot Town Fc distinguished himself on the field, earning the title of the Most Valued Player of the week. His exceptional performance played a crucial role in his team's victory and cemented his reputation as a key player in the league.
Petr Cech Your Pants emerged as the champions of the Premier League, clinching the title with a total of 23 points and 11 wins. A testament to their consistent performance throughout the season, the team displayed remarkable skill and team spirit in their journey to the top.
In Division 1, MA Boars proved their mettle with a total of 8 points and 4 wins, securing their place as the division winners. Their victory marks the culmination of a season filled with grit, determination, and excellent football.
As the final whistle blew on the season, fans and players alike reveled in the spirit of the game, looking forward to the next season with renewed anticipation and excitement.
