All the latest news for the Gillingham Monday 6 a side league direct from the Woodlands Community Sports Centre.
It was a great night in the league with all teams in attendance with the exception of both The Jedis and FC Twente Somethings.
Both teams had contacted the office to inform us of their absence and both team captains have confirmed they are back next week as normal.
We welcomed our newest team to the league as EC Club De Futbol took on league leaders Medway Magics. The result may have been one sided in Medways favour but the lads at EC Club came off in buyout mood and are very much looking forward to next weeks action.
With just 2 weeks of the new season gone Medway Magics lead the way in the premier league having now won both their opening matches. The chasing pack are just a point behind however and the Stripes who are in third come leap from Medway if they manage to beat them net week.
At the bottom of the premier league newly promoted SJWMF are still looking for their first win in the league as they couldn't follow up last weeks draw with a positive result having gone 2-0 down to Clarencia who themselves managed their first win of the season having also been promoted to the Premier league.
In Division one Class on Grass are setting the early pace and are the only team form the division to win their opening two matches. FC Ian sit in 5th just 2 points behind but have yet to taste defeat having drawn both games so far this season. Next week both MBFC and FC Twente Somethings will be looking to open their accounts as neither team have a point at this early stage in the season.
We are already looking forward to next weeks round of action in the Gillingham Monday 6 a side league.
