W-S-M Monday Night Football - Weekly News

Last night saw the very first edition of Monday Night Football @Worle.

With the exception of Bareley Athletic, who play with Leisure Leagues on a Thursday Night, all teams are new to the Leisure Leagues Family.

Armitage Shanks and La-Lla-Na Land put on a great display of competitive football and fought a great 30 minutes of end to end action.

At the final whistle it was Armitage Shanks that took opening night glory, with a 3-2 win over La-Lla-Na Land.

Bareley Athletic came to the field to face Green Pete Elite. They showed their experience on the park and slotted home 11 goals. Green Pete Elite managed to respond with 4. I am sure they will find their feet as the season progresses. Final result then 11-4, Bareley Athletic.

2 Girls 1 Schlupp, on a points match, pick up the win and the points, we will see how they fair next week. 

A Great opener to the season, and we look forward to seeing how this League progresses.
