Monday 24th February - Worthing Round-Up

It was another good evening's football in the Worthing Monday 6 a side league this week, with all teams in attendance throughout the night across all divisions, the only exception being Scofi Active who have now been removed from the league with immediate effect.

In the Premier League, a spectacular game saw Panda FC overpower Red Rockets FC with a stunning 9-5 victory. The Worthing Wanderers also showed their might with an 11-1 crushing of Future FC. However, the most striking game of the evening was between The Wrecking Crew and Bowen Vapors, where the latter team bagged a whopping 14 goals against a single response from the former.

Moving to Division 1, Ford Focus pulled away with a decisive 6-2 win against Hussars FC. Cream Of The South and Stella Sounders FC also emerged victorious, securing wins against 2 Goals 1 Cup and Colonel Getafe, respectively. Yet, the stand-out performance was by Expected Toulouse, who dominated Angmering Allstars with a 6-0 triumph.

In Division 2, the most closely contested match was between Lads On Toure and La Dairy Milk, with the latter edging out a 2-1 victory. Worthing Wolverines, however, were the stars of the division, conquering COB FC with an impressive 7-2 win.

Lastly, in Division 3, Asda United showcased their football prowess by dominantly defeating Pathetico Madrid 7-0. Brexit Tarring and Fat Steamy Wood also claimed victory, with the latter team overcoming Disunited 4-2. The most nail-biting match, however, was between Big MacAllister & Fries and Stagecoach Worthing, with the latter clinching victory by just a single goal.

We wish good luck to all teams heading into the next round of fixtures with Worthing's premier providers of small sided football!
