It was a good evening's football overall in the Worthing Sunday 6 a side league this week, with all teams in attendance for their scheduled matches across all three divisions and teams braving the heat to get their games played!
High Salvington Gentlemen got to the halfway point of the season unscathed and kept their 100% record intact after game week 7, with a 3-1 win over Unnamed FC who drop a place to sixth. It's gone wrong for Fatzio after they lost the top of the table clash last week, they succumbed to a second successive defeat this week at the hands of Real Le Sheet who were 4-3 winners and moved to within a point of second. Mas Dog and She Was Only XI shared a point a piece this week in an end to end game that finished 3-3 as the bottom team stay in the survival hunt. Elsewhere Lahmageddon and The Tutt Experience also could not be separated as they drew 2 a piece.
Division One leaders The Rebels stay a point clear of the competition as they romped to a 6-2 win over Ji Sung Park The Bus this week. Chicken Tiki Taka moved into second place after a massive goal difference boosting win over The Not So Try Hards whom they thrashed 13-0, moving above Inter Ya Nan in the table despite their 7-3 win over TTM FC.
In Division Two, Sompting Dragons and Hakuna Juan Mata continue to slog it out for the top spot as both remain neck and neck on points, Dragons were convincing 4-0 winners over Coman Her Face, whilst Hakuna Juan Mata won a 12 goal thriller over So Sompting Crew. Third placed Milf Hunters were level with the teams above them prior to this week, but fall two points behind after a 6-1 reverse at the hands of Breast Rummage Albion. Petr Cech Yourself completed the action with a solid 2-0 win against Maradona Kebab.
We thank all teams for their continued commitment and reliability towards the league and look forward to seeing all in attendance for game week 8 on Sunday 24th July with Worthing's premier small sided football providers!
