Sunday 18th August - Worthing Round-Up

It was a good evening's football overall in the Worthing Sunday 6 a side league this week overall.  We did however see a handful of teams missing for their matches, most of which made us aware they could not attend.  We look forward to seeing all teams return as normal for the next round of fixtures.

In the Premier League division, the game was a nail-biting face-off as Inter Maggie FC edged past SDL FC, securing a hard-fought 2-1 victory. The thrilling encounter saw top performances from both teams, however, it was Inter Maggie FC that managed to convert their chances into goals, securing three precious points to their tally.

Meanwhile, in Division 1, the action was equally intense. Otters FC and Zindabad FC shared the spoils in a tightly contested 1-1 draw, while The Tutt Experience came out with guns blazing to defeat Better Than Koke in a goal-fest, ending the match at 8-3. In another equally exciting match, Victorious Secret narrowly edged out An Average Bunch 3-2, in a game that could have gone either way.

In Division 2, Just Matip cruised past Mary Slurps with a comfortable 3-1 win. In contrast, The Cheeky Blinders found themselves on the wrong side of a 4-1 drubbing at the hands of a rampant Unnamed Kebab FC.

Despite the intense competition, the top scorers for each division were yet to be mentioned but their performances were surely noteworthy. These matches were a testament to the immense talent each team possesses and a promise for more thrilling encounters in the upcoming weeks.
