It was another fantastic evening's football in the Worthing Sunday 6 a side league this week, with all teams in attendance for their matches on May Bank Holiday weekend!
Fatzio were rampant this week as they put Unnamed FC to the sword, thrashing them 8-0, and extending their lead over second place to two points, as High Salvington Gents slipped up and were made to share the spoils this week after a 5-5 draw with The Rebels. The two will meet on the penultimate week of the season which could prove to be a title decider! Other action saw Real Le Sheet move into third place leapfrogging Lahmageddon in the process after beating them 4-2, whilst The Tutt Experience won by the same score line against Weymouth Wanderers to move up to fifth spot.
TTM FC's lead at the top of Division One was reduced to a solitary point this week, as they drew an entertaining game against Snorting Lisbon which ended 4 a piece, whilst She Was Only XI moved into second at the expense of this weeks opponents Mas Dog Academy whom they beat 3-1. Ji Sung Park The Bus sit comfortably in mid-table, even more so this week after winning 2-1 against The Defeatables whom they are now three points ahead of. Only Matip moved to a within a point of safety as they were comfortable 3-0 winners over Maradona Kebab who look set for Division Two next season.
There are still four teams in with a shout of promotion from Division Two as we enter the final four matches, Inter Ya Nan stay top of the pile after a 9-1 thrashing of Petr Cech Yourself who drop to fourth place, that result may show that they aren't quite ready for promotion yet, but they still have a chance as they sit three points off second placed Posh and Becks Vier who were 7-3 victors over Hakuna Juan Mata. Sompting Dragons now occupy third position and are just a point off the team above them, they were comfortable 4-0 winners over Coman Her Face, whilst Breast Rummage Albion were the big winners of the week, disposing of So Sompting Crew by a 12-1 score line!
We thank all of our teams on a Sunday for their continued commitment and reliability and look forward to seeing everyone in attendance for game week 11 with Worthing's premier providers of small sided football!
