It was a good evening's football in the Worthing Sunday 6 a side league this week which saw all teams in attendance throughout the night as scheduled and some entertaining fixtures played. The only team missing was 'Breast Rummage Albion' who we thank for calling the office and look forward to seeing return on Sunday 31st October.
High Salvington Gents recorded another thrashing this week, as they were emphatic 13-1 winners over The Rebels, that is a whopping 21 goals scored in the last two matches for them. Tutt Experience were 3-0 winners against Classic XI to keep themselves in second place, but they remain closely followed by Fatzio who were 4-3 winners against Lahmageddon in an entertaining game.
With two games to go, Division One leaders Weymouth Wanderers all but sealed the title this week as they ran out 3-2 winners over Only Matip In who put up a great fight and were unlucky to come away pointless.
Real Le Sheet put themselves in the driving seat for the second promotion spot, as they recorded a 4-2 win over third placed Bobby Carlos Experience, putting themselves 2 points clear of this weeks opponents with 2 to play.
Special mention to Bag Raiders who were involved in undoubtedly the game of the night, they were 6-5 winners over Class on Grass in a thrilling encounter, this is their second consecutive win, bringing themselves right back into the survival mix at this late stage of the season.
Enter A Team Name got back to winning ways in Division Two as they thrashed Inter Ya Nan by 5 goals to 1, keeping their promotion ambitions alive, although it was looking more comfortable a few weeks ago. Unnamed FC did just enough to edge past bottom of the pile Dragons, they were 1-0 winners to keep themselves in second place, whilst The Defeatables keep their promotion prospects alive in third place, as they were 5-1 winners against Inter Ya Nan.
