It was another good evening's football in the Worthing Sunday 6 a side league this week with all teams in attendance across all three divisions throughout the night and some entertaining matches on display as ever.
High Salvington Gentlemen did their title ambitions the world of good this week, not only winning, but hugely boosting their goal difference in the process as they swept aside Breast Rummage Albion by an 11-1 scoreline, a result which sees their goal difference shoot to +26 which could be worth an extra point at the end of the season, not that they look like they'll need it as they went 6 points clear at the top following The Tutt Experience's 3-0 reverse against Lahmageddon.
Division One looks a lot closer at the top, Weymouth Wanderers stay top of the table after an impressive 5-2 win over Suarez Is My Hamster, whilst Real Le Sheet keep doing their best to apply the pressure, they remain a point off the summit following a 7-2 thrashing of Bag Raiders.
Unnamed FC ground out a 1-0 victory to stay top of Division Two this week, as sixth place Unfitballers stayed in the game throughout and almost caused a surprise result. The Defeatables dropped to third place as they suffered a surprise 3-2 defeat at the hands of bottom of the table Dragons, paving the way for Enter A Team Name to move into second spot with a 6-0 hammering of So Sompting Crew.
We are delighted to see the league running as well as it is at the moment and thank all teams for their continued commitment and reliability. As ever if you have any queries regarding the league you can contact Shaun at Head Office on 0333 123 2340.
We wish all teams the best of luck going into the next round of fixtures with Worthing's premier small sided football provider.
