Sunday 28th May - Worthing Round-Up

On a splendid Sunday afternoon, the Worthing Leisure Centre witnessed another thrilling round of matches in the Leisure Leagues Sunday 6 a side league. Despite a few absences due to the Bank Holiday Weekend, the teams delivered an exciting display of football on the superb 3G surface.


In the Premier Division, Realleesheet and TTM FC clashed in a fiercely contested match. Realleesheet showcased their skills, managing to secure a narrow victory with a 3-2 scoreline against TTM FC. It was a hard-fought battle, with both teams exhibiting determination and grit on the pitch.


Over on the adjacent field, She Was Only XI faced off against The Rebels. The match was an absolute rollercoaster ride, as both teams displayed their attacking prowess. Goals were raining down from all directions, and the spectators were treated to a thrilling 4-4 draw. It was a remarkable display of resilience and offensive flair from both sides.


In Division One, Jong HSG clashed with Lancing Ultras. Both teams fought tooth and nail, displaying their tactical acumen. After an intense battle, the match ended in a 1-1 draw. Both Jong HSG and Lancing Ultras showcased their determination to secure a victory, leaving the spectators on the edge of their seats.


In another encounter in Division One, Sompting Dragons squared off against Foreigners FC. The match had an electric atmosphere, with both teams vying for dominance. In the end, Sompting Dragons emerged victorious with a 2-1 scoreline. Their relentless attacking play and solid defense helped them secure the win.


Khedira Pin Drop took on Unnamed FC in a captivating Division One match. Both teams showcased their skills and passion for the game. It was a closely contested affair, but Unnamed FC managed to snatch a 2-1 victory in the dying minutes of the game, leaving Khedira Pin Drop disappointed.


In Division Two, Hakuna Juan Mata displayed their dominance as they clashed with The Cheeky Blinders. The match was a one-sided affair, with Hakuna Juan Mata showcasing their attacking prowess. They emerged as clear winners with a resounding 8-1 victory, leaving The Cheeky Blinders in awe of their opponent's performance.


In another thrilling encounter, Coman Her Face faced off against Chicken Tikka Mo Salah. The match was a nail-biter, with both teams displaying exceptional skills. In the end, Chicken Tikka Mo Salah emerged victorious with a close 2-1 scoreline. It was a hard-fought battle that kept the spectators at the edge of their seats until the final whistle.


The final match of the day saw Maradona Kebab take on Badabing Boys. Both teams showcased their determination and played their hearts out. However, Badabing Boys proved to be the stronger side, securing a 2-0 victory over Maradona Kebab.


The league organizers would like to extend their appreciation to all the teams for their commitment and reliability throughout the season. Despite a few absences, the teams showcased their passion for the sport and put on a great display of football.


Furthermore, a warm welcome goes out to the new team, Farcelona, who will be joining the league on Sunday, 4th June. Their presence is sure to add more excitement to the already thrilling competition.
