It was a good evening's football in the Worthing Sunday 6 a side league this week, with all teams in attendance throughout the night as scheduled, barring Suarez Is My Hamster who've now been removed from the league with immediate effect. We are pleased to welcome new team Snorting Lizbon to the league as their replacement and wish these good luck going into their first fixture with us on Sunday 6th February.
After defeat last week, Premier Division leaders High Salvington Gentlemen got back to winning ways this week as they were 3-1 victors over Weymouth Wanderers, keeping themselves two points clear of second placed Fatzio who were winners of an entertaining 3-2 game against Lahmageddon. Tutt Experience guaranteed themselves Premier Division football next season and did so in style with a 7-2 victory over Ji Sung Park The Bus. Last but by no means least was the 13-0 mauling by Real Le Sheet over OLOTR which moves them up to fourth place!
Division One leaders Unnamed FC were 5-0 winners this week, whilst Bobby Carlos remain hot on their heels with a 9-3 victory over Breast Rummage Albion. The Rebels keep their outside chances of promotion as they stay in third place following their 4-1 win over Only Matip In, and Class on Grass moved up to fourth spot as they romped to a 9-2 victory over bottom of the table Enter a Team Name Here.
Division Two remains finely poised for the promotion spots, it continues to be led by The Defeatables who were 5-1 winners over Inter Ya Nan, but five teams are then split by just two points for the second promotion place. Mas Dog Academy moved into second spot with their 3-2 win over Rustys, whilst third place is now occupied by So Sompting Crew who won the Sompting derby by a 4-2 score line. Posh and Becks moved into fourth place as they won a thrilling game against Dragons by a 7-5 score line.
We wish all teams good luck going into game week 12 with Worthing's premier providers of small sided football!
