It was a good start to the new season in the Worthing Sunday 6 a side league this week, which saw all 24 teams in attendance for their matches as scheduled and some excellent football played across all three divisions.
Champions Fatzio got off to a fine start this season as they were 6-1 winners over Unnamed FC as they look to retain their title, whilst Lahmageddon got an impressive 5-2 win over the newly promoted She Was Only XI to get their season off and running in fine fashion. Last season's Runners-Up and previous champions High Salvington Gentlemen ground out a hard fought 2-1 win over The Tutt Experience, and the other newly promoted side Mas Dog Academy shared the spoils in a 2-2 draw with Real Le Sheet.
Division One started with four closely competed and entertaining matches as TTM FC and The Rebels both picked up 4-3 wins over Get Your Koch Out and Inter Ya Nan respectively. Snorting Lisbon returned to action with a 3-2 win over newly promoted Posh and Becks Vier, whilst The Defeatables and Ji Sung Park The Bus took a point a piece in an entertaining 4-4 draw.
Division Two saw some big results in the first game of the campaign as Only Matip In were the biggest winners of the evening, recording an impressive 6-2 win against Maradona Kebab, whilst So Sompting Crew were convincing 5-1 victors against Coman Her Face. Last season's bottom team Hakuna Juan Mata got off to a fine start this season as they look to improve this time out, they were 5-2 winners over Petr Cech Yourself, and Breast Rummidge Albion got off to a solid start as they were 3-2 victors over Sompting Dragons.
