It was another good evening's football in the Worthing Sunday 6 a side league this week, with all teams in attendance throughout the night as scheduled and some excellent matches played across all three divisions.
High Salvington Gentlemen continue into 2022 as they left 2021, winning, as they recorded their eighth win on the spin this week with a 2-0 triumph over Ji Sung Park The Bus to retain their place at the summit of the Premier Division. Fatzio are doing their best to keep the pace as they were 4-2 victors against Real Le Sheet and remain four points off the leaders. Third placed Lahmageddon ran out winners in an entertaining game this week, as they were 5-3 winners over Weymouth Wanderers, whilst Tutt Experience completed the action with a 3-1 win over OLOTR to move themselves into fourth place.
Bobby Carlos Experience continue to lead the way in Division One as they were 4-1 victors over Suarez Is My Hamster, they remain a point ahead of second placed Unnamed FC who were 3-1 winners in their match against Enter a Team Name Here. The Rebels continue to try and keep the pace with the leaders, they remain two points off the promotion places but were 4-2 victors in their match with Class on Grass, whilst Breast Rummidge and Only Matip couldn't be separated in their game which ended 1-1.
Division Two leaders So Sompting Crew were involved in a ten goal thriller but were denied a victory by a plucky Posh and Becks Vier side, a thrilling encounter which ended 5-5! New team Rustys joined us this week and put in a decent performance in their first game, a 2-2 draw with Sompting Dragons giving them something to build upon. Elsewhere Mas Dog Academy moved into third place with a 9-3 over The Defeatables, whilst Inter Ya Nan won a thrilling encounter over Dragons, they ran out 6-5 winners in a classic encounter.
We wish all teams good luck going into week 9's fixtures with Worthing's premier providers of small sided football!
