It was a great night overall at the Kidderminster Monday 6-a-side league at Wyre Forest Leisure Centre, as all teams were in attendance including new side M I Football Foundation.
Match Report.
First game of the night saw new boys M I Football Foundation playing their first game of the night against a spirited Bubbles FC. MI showed their class early doors in the game, running out to a 3-0 lead with some clinic finishing, before Bubbles captain Eddie Whatmore scored a consolation goal from the penalty spot to see the game finish 3-1.
Next up saw Ketterminster and Jacket FC facing off, a thrilling game for the neutral spectators in attendance, as the game went from end to end. Tom from Ketterminster really showed his class with an absolute worldie finish from 20 yards that deflected in off the post. Jacket FC, without first choice goalkeeper Jord Talbot, managed to run out winners in the end, which sees them topping the table at this early stage.
Third game of the night saw last season's champions Mo Salad square off with Taking the Mikoutaryan. The game started off very even, with both teams creating chances. Mo Salad gradually took control of proceedings though, as they enjoyed the majority of possession and turned that into chances and goals. Jordi Jones bagged himself a hat-trick to take an early lead in the Top Goalscorer charts, as Jack Balden and Aaron Jones also net for Mo Salad.
Finally, we had Rodallega Bombs against other relative new boys Up The Balls. Despite the enthusiasms of Up The Balls, it was Rodallega Bombs who created most of the chances in the first half, and took the lead through Dan Stanley, who also bagged himself a second later in the game. Luke Calcott also got his name on the scoresheet as Rodallega ran out 3-0 winners at the final whistle.
